Our Story

A place that
refuses to choose
between morning and night.

The Anchor was born from a simple frustration: why does a great coffee shop close at 3 PM, and why does a great bar ignore the people who just want a proper espresso?

We built The Anchor to be both — a coffee bar that takes its pour-over as seriously as a cocktail bar takes its bourbon, and a bistro that serves breakfast at 8 AM and dinner at 9 PM without missing a beat.

Located on the edge of Jacksonville's historic River City Plaza, our space is designed for the long sit. Leather chairs that break in. Tables that hold a laptop and a conversation. A bar that glows when the sun goes down.

Community First Local roasters, local bakers, local ingredients. We source within 100 miles whenever possible.
Craft Without Pretense We take our craft seriously. We don't take ourselves seriously. Come as you are.
All Day, Every Day Open dawn to late night, seven days a week. Your table is your table — whether you're here for one drink or four.
